Hydrophob.net
Hydrophob.net is an OpenCart 3 store with a custom theme, care-product catalogue and dealer section. It includes customer accounts, email code login, one-page checkout and editable content modules.
About the project
Hydrophob.net is an online store for Hydrophob products, with a care-product catalogue and a dedicated section for prospective dealers. The project covers the storefront, manufacturer information, reviews and purchasing flows. A custom OpenCart 3.0.3.9 theme connects the prepared PHP layouts to the store’s data and commerce functions.
Scope of work
The site includes a homepage, catalogue, search, product pages, basket, checkout, manufacturer and dealer pages, contacts, reviews, a blog and legal sections. The catalogue provides filters, product counts and pagination. Search suggestions display each product’s name, price, image and link. Recommended, recently viewed and related-product sliders share consistent behaviour.
Product pages include a gallery and tabs for descriptions, specifications, instructions and reviews. Composition is stored in a separate field and displayed as tags near the purchase button. Review pagination runs through AJAX within the tab. Customer accounts contain orders, favourites and personal details; login, registration and email changes are verified with a one-time code.
Content blocks are editable through language tabs and repeatable fields in the admin area. A reusable hero module supports a single banner or a slider, while the FAQ module holds an editable list of questions and answers. Dealer, contact and quick-order enquiries share a central register. The one-click purchase action creates a separate product enquiry, stores it in the admin area and emails the administrator.
Technical implementation
The architecture combines OpenCart PHP controllers, data models, Twig templates and modules assigned through page layouts. Module copy is stored in the database by language. The custom one-page checkout calls standard OpenCart functions in sequence to save addresses, select delivery and payment methods, and create the order.
Delivery choices cover Nova Poshta, Ukrposhta, Meest, courier delivery and collection. Email is handled through the Brevo API. Forms share an identity flow: signed-in customers receive prefilled contact details, while guests can verify themselves with a code. Product, promotional and video sections use Swiper loaded on demand.
SEO and performance
The store operates in Ukrainian and Russian. Pages, search, filters, sorting and pagination use readable URLs, with redirects from legacy addresses. Individual filters have self-referencing canonicals; filter combinations, search and price ranges receive noindex and a canonical pointing to the unfiltered catalogue. Metadata templates and indexing settings are managed in the admin area.
Performance work includes CSS and JavaScript minification, static asset caching, a responsive hero image and deferred sliders, video and analytics. Product-view, checkout-start and purchase events are queued until the analytics script loads. Videos are compressed, and the product-page clip loads as it approaches the viewport. A Google Merchant product feed has been prepared with prices in hryvnias, a language parameter and brand and mpn identifiers.
The result is a working store with editable product and editorial content, customer accounts and dealer enquiry forms. Dedicated modules allow the brand presentation to be managed in the admin area alongside catalogue data.
