About the project

Googlenest is a store for original Google devices in Ukraine at googlenest.com.ua. It is for shoppers seeking smartphones, headphones, smartwatches, gadgets, smart home devices and accessories. The case covers both the design and the online store, including its catalogue and product selection features.

What was done

The store runs on OpenCart and has Ukrainian and Russian language versions. Its structure combines a homepage with a banner and product blocks, catalogue categories, search, favourites, a cart, sign-in and registration.

The homepage displays a banner about smart technologies that inspire. It also includes brand blocks and popular products. Devices featured among the popular products include Nest Cam Outdoor, Nest Hub Max and Pixel 9. These blocks present individual models alongside the broader division of the range into categories.

The catalogue covers several types of technology. Smartphones and headphones have separate categories, while smartwatches and gadgets share a section. Smart home devices and accessories also have their own sections. Outlet appears as a separate part of the catalogue.

Catalogue and shopping

Search includes suggestions and a Categories / Products switch. Within the search interface, users can choose which of these two result types to work with. Search complements browsing catalogue sections and viewing popular models on the homepage.

  • The Smartphones and Headphones categories present their respective parts of the range.
  • Smartwatches and Gadgets, Smart Home and Accessories cover other groups of devices and related products.
  • Outlet is a separate category alongside the main product sections.
  • Favourites and a shopping cart are available in the store interface.
  • Sign-in and registration provide access to account functions.

The homepage and catalogue present the range at different levels: through the banner, brands and popular models, or through product categories. Search suggestions provide another way to explore products and categories, while favourites and the cart complement the store features.

Googlenest combines the design of a Google device storefront with an OpenCart catalogue. Its two language versions include device categories, popular products, search, favourites, a cart and account access through sign-in or registration.
